So, this is going to be an extension of what Michigan Sports Bucket used to be but much more.
With the old Michigan Sports Bucket, I used it as an overflow where I could post items that were outside of what I was doing as a freelancer or just extra photos.
This is going to be different. I have switched the name to more closely pull my my name recognition as Arrick Sports on Twitter which may help to drive traffic.
I’m also going to be picking more niche sports that the major outlets don’t cover which I think will be a benefit.
Finances. That is always the elephant in the room with any high school sports coverage site. In most cases, ad revenue is too small for coverage to be supported by that alone and that is why most sites tend to use the pay per view model that people hate.
The first post on the actual website will be how we are going to attack this problem. (I say we because the plan is to NOT keep it to a staff of me over time).
